The 2008 Michigan Club Invitational Regatta will be held on July 26, 2008. Please mark your calendars! This year we will have online registration through RegattaCentral.

Sponsorship Opportunities
The Ann Arbor Rowing Club would like to extend an invitation to your organization to act as a sponsor for the 2008 Michigan Club Invitational Regatta (MCI). An annual USRowing event, this year’s MCI will be held Saturday, July 26, 2008 on Argo Pond, in Bandemer Park, Ann Arbor. Each year the MCI brings hundreds of rowers and their friends and family from across the State to Ann Arbor. This year, proceeds surpassing Club overhead expenses will support the club’s general scholarship fund, helping us to fulfill our mission of providing an affordable rowing experience.
Sponsorship opportunities for this year’s event include:
- Friends of MCI: Place a personal message to your team, friends or family in this year’s event program in a 1 ½ x 1 ½ inch square space. Brighten someone’s day with an easy $15 donation.
- Red sponsors: A black and white 2 x 2 ½ inch ad for your organization (including any artwork or coupons you would like to provide) will be included in the MCI event program in addition to acknowledgement in the program as an event sponsor. Red sponsorship is for donations of $50 or more.
- Blue sponsors: In addition to the benefits described above for Red sponsors, with a 2 ½ x 4 inch ad space, Blue-level sponsorship includes your name as an event sponsor on this year’s event t-shirt as well as announcements on the loud speakers throughout the event. Blue sponsors will also have the opportunity to provide materials for the event packet presented to participants on arrival. Blue sponsorship is for donations of $75 or more.
- Cup sponsors: In addition to the benefits described above for both the Red and Blue sponsors, you can begin a tradition—Cup sponsors are able to name an event of the day, and the winner of that event will be presented with the special Cup of your naming. Cup sponsorship is for donations of $150 or more.
- Presenting sponsors: In addition to the benefits described above for both the Red, Blue and Cup sponsors, with a 5 x 4 inch ad space, Presenting sponsors will have their name included on all MCI-related merchandise and signage, and listed as presenting the regatta. Presenting sponsorship is for donations of $250 or more.
In addition, the members of your organization are invited to attend our event to enjoy the rowing events on Ann Arbor’s beautiful Argo Pond and to experience the benefits of your sponsorship.
The hundreds of participants from across the State of Michigan would benefit tremendously from your generosity, as would your organization from its increased visibility in the rowing community. 2007 MCI Results
Michigan Club Invitational Regatta

Thanks to everyone involved, the 2007 MCI held on July 21 was a great
success. AARC is pleased to announce the following results:
AARC retained the Tom Kraft Cup for highest total team points, and Michael
Raisky (DWRA) retained the Dominick DiVarti cup with the best adjusted time
in the Men's Masters 1x.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, 2007 races were able to add several cup
races: AARC won the Wolverine Cup (M8+), the Ernestine Bayer Cup (WM8+), the
Orthopedic Surgery Associates Cup (W2x), and the Michigan Sports & Fitness
Cup (WM4+); GVSU was the winner of the RowKraft Cup (W8+); and
Dayton received the Hyperfit USA Cup (MxM8+).
