AARC endeavors to make rowing accessible to the broad community. To support participation, scholarships are available to those with financial need.
Demonstrated need and one of the following:
- Current AARC member
- Participant in AARC “Learn to” Classes
Scholarship money cannot be applied to boat rack rental fees, regatta fees, social events fees or purchase of club apparel and gear.
How to Apply
Please note that AARC keeps financial information private. Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee which is comprised of the Director of Rowing, one Board member and one member-at-large.
Requests for financial assistance must be made each season for which aid is needed. Financial assistance must be requested prior to the start of the class or program for which aid is needed. The personal contribution must also be paid prior to the start of the class or program unless special accommodation has been made with the Scholarship Committee.
AARC reserves the right to discontinue a scholarship at any time should the rower/sculler not adhere to the club's safety guidelines and/or follow the club's policies and procedures.
