IT'S OPEN HOUSE TIME!

Ever thought it'd be great to row with your sister or your best friend? Another opportunity to introduce someone you know to our wonderful sport is just around the corner. The AARC Open House is March 10 at the Boathouse beginning at 1 p.m (March 11 at the New Center if it rains). Please tell as many people as possible to come see what all the fun is about. And of course we can always use volunteers. Please e-mail Peggy Herron, Rowergirl@outdoorathlete.com if you can come down for an hour or two to lend a hand.

BEER TASTING DATE SET

Please join us for our annual fundraising event Saturday March 24th. This year's Beer Tasting will take place at Arbor Brewing Company's Corner Brewery at 720 Norris Street - Ypsilanti, MI from 4 - 6 pm. Tickets cost $20.00 per person. What better way to kick off the season while reconnecting with old friends and making new ones in preparation of the new season! There will be samples of 6-8 beers and a tasty appetizer buffet! I'll also be needing 8-10 volunteers for the event. Volunteers are needed for set-up, beer pouring, etc. Please email rachelandrianna@gmail.com if you're interested. SAVE THE DATE! SPECIAL AARC CLINIC ON SUNDAY, MARCH 25.

This two-part clinic, led by Canadian National Rowing Team Member, Certified Level 1 Coach, and nutrition specialist, Cristin McCarty, will feature nutrition for rowing performance plus erg technique and core muscle development for performance and injury prevention. Cristin combines expertise in coaching, rowing, and nutrition, and will bring that all to bear in this two-part clinic. ARC SPLASH JACKET ORDER

The 2007 season is nigh! To be prepared for spring weather conditions, we're accepting orders for AARC splash jackets from FEBRUARY 16 to MARCH 1. If we have orders for at least 9 jackets, we'll place the group order on MARCH 2, with boathouse arrival of jackets expected early April.

This splash jacket, made by JL, is specially designed for rowing and racing. It's in AARC colors, with AARC insignias, waterproof, wind-resistant, includes a zippered pocket, and is quite the look. With our group discount, the total price per jacket, including shipping, is $116.
