15 MINUTES TO FREE ROWING

That's right, we said free!  Monday afternoon all registered rowers during the 2006 season received e-mail with a link to the 2006 AARC Membership Survey. Please take 15 minutes to respond. The survey results will be extremely helpful to the board as we gather to discuss budgets, programming and the general direction of the club in 2007. As a bonus, *anyone who completes the survey is automatically entered to win their choice of a free month of winter erging or a free month of rowing in 2007*. The survey will remain open until January 5. If you did not receive the e-mail or are having any technical difficulties connecting to it, please e-mail Peggy Herron at
rowergirl@outdoorathlete.com.

YOGA FOR ROWERS NEW SESSION

A yoga for rowers session is starting January 6, 2007.  This class runs from 8:30 am to 9:45 am on Saturday mornings.  This session comprises 9 sessions and is being lead by Christy DeBurton, who is familiar with the kind of flexibility and strength one needs to row.  Cost of the class is $90 if you register by Saturday 12/23/06 or $100 after that.  Christy said she is going by first come first serve basis, and space is limited.  Several of us have taken Christy's classes for a while now and find them challenging, peaceful and flexibility enhancing, in mind, body, and
spirit.  For more information or to register please contact Christy
DeBurton at info@christydeburton.com

THE WEBMASTER IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE WEBMASTER!

After a great couple of years as AARC's webmaster, I'm  stepping down effective today.  The new webmaster is Melissa Clark.  I'm really excited
about this transition, because Melissa has the talent and energy to take the website to the next level, far beyond my limited computer skills.  So, from now on, please send any requests, updates, or comments to Melissa at
mmclark@umich.edu and stay tuned for the great new features that will be
rolling out on her watch.
