WEEKLY EMAIL TO BE EVERY OTHER WEEK

The Weekly Email is being scaled back to every other week for the offseason. There will be no weekly email next week; look for one two weeks from now. As always, submit your items for the weekly email by Wednesday at 9 AM. Keep reading your email, though; there will be lots of good information in it, even in the offseason. The board will be looking for input and assistance from members in budgeting and planning the 2006 season. There will be information about erging and other winter training. And finally, we always encourage members to submit items to the weekly email, especially if you want to organize offseason cross-training activities.

Finally, the Weekly Email needs a new name. Biweekly Email is just lame. Any suggestions? Email them to Will at wmackintosh@gmail.com

COACHING COMMITTEE WANTS YOUR INPUT

The coaching committee is looking for your feedback on the 2005 season. What are your thoughts on the Director of Sweep Rowing position? How were the workouts from the coaches? CALL FOR INTEREST IN NEW SPLASH JACKETS

Several people have expressed interest in a new style rowing jacket made by J L Racing. The low collar "Purist Splash Jacket" keeps you dry by wicking away moisture on the inside while keeping the rain on the outside. See the J L Racing website for a detailed description of the Hytrell shell performance properties (jlracing.com).

These jackets, which are available in solid navy or navy with red, will range in price from approximately $96.00 to $115.00 each, depending on the quantity ordered (most likely, they will be around $106.00 or slightly less). This would include the A2 Crew logo embroidered on the front and "Ann Arbor Rowing" silkscreened on the back.

All jackets would have to be pre-paid to process an order. At this time I am merely gauging interest in these jackets and I need your feedback. Please email me (jfjones@umich.edu) your level of interest and any other thoughts (i.e. colors, etc.) you may have. J2

LAST CHANCE FOR FEEDBACK

Even though the season is over and things are quiet around the boathouse, the AARC Board is just getting ready for a new season of hard work. We're beginning the process of learning from the 2005 season and planning for the 2006 season. We have a lot to do between now and next April to ensure a successful 2006 season.

We need help from you! We need your thoughts about how the 2005 season went. Tell us what went well this past year. How did our programs work for you? What was good about the coaching? In what ways did the club's administration work for you? Also, tell us what could be improved. What do we need to work on? What are your ideas for making the club work better?

Email your feedback to Will Mackintosh at wmackintosh@gmail.com by Friday, December 2. It will be distributed anonymously to the rest of the board's planning committees. We look forward to hearing from you!

TIME FOR YEAR END FINANCIAL CLOSURE

To ALL AARC Members: Please submit expenses for reimbursement/payment to either Janet Goldberg (keech@umich.edu) or Karen Berna (karendmarks@sbcglobal.net) by no later than December 5, 2005 in order for payment to occur in this fiscal year. In addition, please submit any payment for outstanding rowing, regatta, and/or merchandise fees, or any other outstanding debt to AARC (mail to: PO Box 3128, Ann Arbor, MI 48106) by no later than December 16, 2005.
