POSTING BOARD

New information regarding Open/Novice practices is posted regularly on the posting board at the front of the boathouses. This information is for you, the rowers, to know what is going on. Stay informed!

PRACTICE THIS SATURDAY 10/8

There is sweep rowing practice this Saturday open to all fall sweep rowers. It's drop-in, though set boats are not discouraged. The time for this practice has changed - it will begin at 9:00 and end at 10:30. Please arrive by 8:55 to sign in, and even a bit earlier to take oars down and set up a launch so that you can get hands on right at 9:00 am.

REMINDER - EVENING PRACTICE TIME CHANGE

Beginning on Monday 10/10, evening practice will begin promptly at 6:00 to minimize the amount of time we're rowing in the dark. Please sign-in by 5:55 pm to get into a boat.

Our end of the year party has been scheduled for the late afternoon/early evening of Sunday, November 13. Location is TBD. Contact Tricia if you have information regarding possible venues or if you would like to help with the planning, triciam@umich.edu.

HEAD OF THE CHARLES BOAT ANNOUNCED

The following 9 individuals will be representing AARC in Boston on October 22. They go off in the 24th spot of the Men's Masters 8+. Results can be viewed live at www.hocr.org. The members are: Pam Besteman (coxswain), Derek Blakeney, Michael Coster, Rob Durham, Markus Huebner, Tom Kraft, Mike Taft, Tom Rutherford, and Ron Woodman. Wish them luck! A special thanks also to all who have participated in practices with this crew.

NEW AARC T-SHIRTS ARRIVING

Just in time for Frogtown! A new order of AARC t-shirts will be arriving late next week, just in time to sport at the Frogtown Regatta! Three different styles are available in the popular "puddle" design, including short-sleeve, long-sleeve, and women's cut tees. OCTOBER AARC BOARD MEETING

The October AARC board meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 12th at 6:30 PM, location TBA. Please notify either me (wmackint@umich.edu) or President Sarah Marsh (marsh.sk@gmail.com) if you would like to attend and if you have an item that you would like to place on the agenda.
