Congratulations to Megan Gibb, Sarah Marsh, and Karen Berna on their re-election to the AARC Board. Welcome to new members Tricia Miranda and Dave Barber. Thanks also to everyone else who was nominated.
September Board meeting Date Changed
The date of the September AARC board meeting has been moved. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 6th at 6:30 PM, location TBA. Please notify either me (wmackint@umich.edu) or Carly (cago@med.umich.edu) if you would like to attend and if you have an item that you would like to place on the agenda. Argo Park Stewardship Workday
What do handsaws, neighbors, bagels, buckthorn, and workgloves have in common? They’re all things that will be at the Argo Park workday! Will you be? Come clear some invasive shrubbery with Ann Arbor’s Natural Areas Preservation (NAP). They’ll meet at the intersection of Longshore Drive and Amherst Avenue – almost directly across the river from the boathouse. A brief orientation begins promptly at 9:00. Any More Jacket Orders?
I have orders for 4 jackets right now. There’s a price break if we order ten. Anyone else interested? Let me know by this Friday at Barb-Kraft@sbcglobal.net if you’re interested and what size you’d like. These are the red and royal pullover jackets with a hood. The embroidered club logo is on the front and "Ann Arbor Rowing" is printed on the back. Thanks!
Repeat - Fall Registration Reminder
For most sweep rowers and club scullers, your rowing privileges end with the end of our summer season on August 31. To continue rowing uninterrupted into the fall, please register!
Go to your rowing program's site on our webpage www.a2crew.com, and hit the red "Register Now" button. I apologize for all of the data re-entry you'll have to do - I promise I've learned a lot and will structure things more efficiently next year! But, for now, it will take an extra moment to retype some things. Please email me with any questions: marsh.sk@gmail.com. And please make life easy for me and register by Aug 31. It really reduces the admin burden when the registrations roll in in a big bunch, rather than in bits and pieces. Thank you!! Sarah Marsh, Membership Chair
