August 26, Friday – Club Barbecue and Annual Club Meeting. Bring a dish to share and drinks; after a very abbreviated row. AARC Board elections will be conducted at this event.
VOTE IN THE AARC ELECTION
This is a reminder to vote in the AARC election. Vote for 5 out of out 9 candidates, by email or at the Friday BBQ on 8/26. Email wmackint@umich.edu from a known member address to vote absentee;
email deadline is Friday at 5 PM (no exceptions!). For more information on the candidates, see the previous email with introductory paragraphs. Email me at wmackint@umich.edu if you have

Fall Registration time!
For most sweep rowers and club scullers, your rowing privileges end with the end of our summer season on August 31. To continue rowing uninterrupted into the fall, please register!
Go to your rowing program's page and hit the red "Register Now" button. I apologize for all of the data re-entry you'll have to do - I promise I've learned a lot and will structure things more efficiently next year! But, for now, it will take an extra moment to retype some things. Please email me with any questions: marsh.sk@gmail.com. And please make life easy for me and register by Aug 31. It really reduces the admin burden when the registrations roll in in a big bunch, rather than in bits and pieces.

Head of the Charles deadline - August 24
The deadline for informing Kevin of your interest in participating in the Head of the Charles selection is August 24th. More detailed information has been distributed in two previous e-mails and is posted in the boathouse. Please contact Kevin at kalschul@gmail.com
AARC Hosts Mayrene Earle
Please check the web site for information regarding the Sweep Training Camp for Masters Women. Mayrene Earle, former MIT varsity coach, will be here Oct. 13 and 14 for two full days of individualized coaching in an 8+ (to get ready for the Frogtown Races). Video review, erg instruction and food will be at New Center when off the water.
