Additionally, Leah, a new coach in May, will be doing her orientation on Monday and Tuesday nights. Caroline, another new coach, will be doing the same thing on Thursday.
YES, VIRGINIA, THERE IS SUNDAY ROWING
Join us for coached ITP/Open rowing practice on Sundays from 4:30-6pm (except regatta weekends). It's a great, quiet time to be on the water! No need to have a set boat or sign up- just show up and row! Sundays are a steady state workout, and much more fun on the water than on the erg or at the gym. For the morning rowers, come out and see the light! For all rowers, weekend rowing is just different- none of the stress of rushing to and from work or class, all the enjoyment of rowing on an nice Sunday afternoon. Try it out!
NEW THIS SEASON - PROGRAM ASSISTANTS
You may have noticed a few rowers around practice being just a little more helpful, a little more attentive- these are your Program Assistants! They are volunteers that help to keep practices running smoothly. They help out with the logistiics of practice, monitoring membership, helping the coaches where needed, and most importantly, helping YOU if you have any questions, issues, problems, feedback, suggestions! They are the liason between YOU the rower, and the coaching staff and AARC board. Welcome them and thank them for their help! As the season moves along, there will be others that are recruited to help out as well. Email Carly Gomez-Fifer if you are interested! (cago@umich.edu)
