HELP RECRUIT STUDENTS FOR LEARN TO ROW

Do you know anyone who might like to take Learn To Row?

The first round of LTR classes begins April 17 and April 18 and run either M/W/F, or T/Th/Sa (no early morning session this time, first morning session will start May 8). At first, enrollment for these two classes was cruising, but it has slowed, so there is still room in both as of right now (and there's plenty of room in all the subsequent sessions).

Over 40% of LTR participants say they heard about the class through a current or former member, so please help spread the word! To that end, there's a flier attached - please print it and post it around whereever you go... the YMCA, a coffeeshop, REI, your office, etc. Carry a few around and post them where you see other things posted. More importantly, just talk about LTR to people you know.

Filling LTR classes is important to the club for a few reasons. They serve as fundraisers, contributing to our operating costs and helping us keep other fees as low as we can. They also are the future of the club, developing new potential members to sustain and grow our membership. Also, whether or not LTR participants continue with the club, the classes are an extended opportunity for community members to learn about the sport and about AARC - always a good thing.

Bottom line: We all benefit from full LTR classes. So, do your part and mention LTR to a person or two today!

Have suggestions for making this year's MCI our best one yet? Want to be more involved with AARC, organize volunteers, hunt for business sponsorship, or overall planning of our regatta? Then join the MCI Planning Committee! Email mci_regatta@umich.edu today and we’ll get back to you for our first planning meeting of the year!

HELP ORGANIZE AARC'S REGATTA ENTRIES

Do you have fun at regattas? Wanna know what can be equally fun? Helping to organize our entries for each regatta and help assure an enjoyable, competitive experience appropriate to all levels of our Club! We're still looking for individuals interested in helping out as Regatta Captains this year. If interested in learning more contact Tricia (triciam@umich.edu).

AARC APRIL BOARD MEETING

The April AARC board meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 18th at 6:30 PM, location TBA. Please notify either me (wmackint@umich.edu) or Sarah (marsh.sk@gmail.com) if you would like to attend and if you have an item that you would like to place on the agenda.

As we start the new season, I'd like to take a moment to remind you that members are always invited to attend board meetings to make their voices heard.
